Robert John Doty

Robert John Doty, age 67 of Monroe, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Monroe Fire and Rescue and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com The son of John and Shirley (Krug) Doty, Bob was born on December 23, 1951 in Estherville, Iowa. He graduated from Graettenger High School and Jackson Vocational School in Jackson, Minnesota. On February 10, 1973, he was united in marriage to Janet Malwitz t St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Earth, Minnesota. Bob owned and operated Robert Doty Construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and NASCAR.
