William J. Graham, age 99, of the Holiday City Carefree section of Berkeley Township, died on Friday, July 19, 2019 at home. Born in Stella, England, he came to the United States in 1929, settling in Jersey City. He lived there until moving to Forked River in 1970, and settled in Holiday City 13 years ago. A US Army veteran of WWII, Mr. Graham later worked as a civilian Mechanical Illustrator for the Army for over 25 years, first in New York and later at Fort Monmouth. An artist, he enjoyed painting and sculpting. He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, and was a former member and longtime usher at St. Pius X RC Church, Forked River. He was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Margaret Graham, and by his siblings, Frank, Agnes, Margaret, Mickey, Vincent, Kathleen and Terry. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia; his children, Frank Graham and his wife Christine of Toms River, Mary Vreeland and her husband Eric of Beachwood, and Candice Graham, at home; and his grandchildren, Melanie Graham, Paul Graham, and Jacinta Vreeland.
