Gwendolyn Ruth Brock

Gwendolyn Ruth Brock, 80, of Connelly, NY, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born July 17, 1939 in Concord, New Hampshire the daughter of the late Charles and Enna Brock. Gwendolyn was a graduate of Pembroke Academy in New Hampshire. She worked for Texaco as Test Driver for 28 years. She was a member of the Busy Bee's Sewing Club at the Town of Esopus Library where she had volunteered. She also volunteered at the Ulster County SPCA in the Cat Department. Gwendolyn loved sewing, knitting, reading, gardening, and listening to country music, especially WRWD. In her younger years she raced snow mobiles and drag cars. She had a Buick Sports Car that she never lost a race in. She was a cat fanatic and overall animal lover, having a family of raccoons that she would feed for over 30 years. She is survived by her son, Donald J. Connolly and his wife Sherrel of Florida, her grandchildren, Amber Temple and her fiance Richard of Watervliet, NY, Charlie Brock Casey and his fiancée Jaleesa of Poughkeepsie, Donald J. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her daughter, Lisa Casey, and her partner Lloyd Jenne, who passed away on December 13, 2017.
