Madison -- Marion H. Ziebell, age 90, died peacefully on September 23, 2010, at the Don and Marilyn HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born on August 15, 1920 in Oshkosh, WI, the daughter of Martin and Jesse (Maples) Passolt.
Marion married Wallace Ziebell in Wausau, WI on September 25, 1948 and they lived together in Wausau for 52 happy years. She was a devoted wife, mother and caregiver, always wore a smile, was a keen knitter and enjoyed bowling, baking, bridge and bingo. She was a soprano soloist at St. Paul's United Church of Christ for many years, was a "mother to many", and, together with Wally, fitted countless people in shoes.
Marion was preceded in death by her beloved husband, and is survived by her precious little sister, Arlene (Adams); children, Tom (Lori) Ziebell and Jane (Michael) Ferris; and grandchildren, Eric and Jared Ziebell, and Benjamin and Martha Ferris. Her grandchildren will remember all her hugs, her keen sense of humor and playing "Kings in the Corner" together.

., Madison, on Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 12:00 noon with Rev. Gwen Brandfass officiating. Nanny's knitted scarves should be worn if possible. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial in Wausau will follow at a later date.
