Brittany Ann Marie Greene, 17-year old daughter of Loretta (Randy) Hoogerhyde of Maquoketa, and Jeffrey (Andrea) Greene of Dubuque, Iowa, died on Saturday morning, April 2, 2011, from injuries received in an automobile accident on Highway 64 and 24th Street, 1 mile west of Maquoketa. A celebration of her life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from the Faith Community Church in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at the Carson & Son Funeral Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. Brittany Ann Marie Greene was born on June 2, 1993 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Jeffrey Alan and Loretta Marie (Blozvich) Greene. Brittany was currently a senior at Maquoketa Community High School where she was an honor student and a member of the class of 2011. She had a passion for taking care of people and recently received her CNA through the HOSA organization which gave her the opportunity to work part-time at the Maquoketa Care Center. s. She loved art and her artwork is part of the "senior art" currently on display at the Ohnward Fine Arts Center in Maquoketa. Her favorite color was turquoise and her favorite foods were Shrimp and Chicken Alfredo. She was a hard worker, had a great sense of humor, enjoyed all kinds of music and loved her family and friends, especially her brother, Jordon. Brittany is survived by her parents, Loretta (Randy) Hoogerhyde of Maquoketa, IA, and Jeffrey (Andrea) Greene of Dubuque, IA; her maternal grandmother, Mary (John) McAuliffe of Delmar, IA; paternal great-grandmother, Sandy (Richard) Greene of Branson, MO; a brother, Jordon Greene of Maquoketa, IA; step-brothers, McKennan Saunders of Dubuque, IA, and Randy Hoogerhyde of MI; and step-sisters, Regan Saunders of Dubuque, IA, and Breeann Hoogerhyde of MI. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Blozvich, and paternal grandmother, Joan Greene.
