MICHAEL R. MIILU "RAY" Mike Miilu, age 77 years, of Montgomery Street in Port Washington passed away at Columbia - St. Mary's Ozaukee Campus in Mequon early Tuesday morning, October 26, 2004. Mike was born one of 13 children to Michael and Irene Nickels Miilu in Mass, Michigan on May 8, 1927. He entered the US Navy during World War II. After he left the service, he moved to Wisconsin where he met and married Marie Zausch at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington on July 18, 1953. Mike had worked at Simplicity in Port Washington for 32 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion, was an avid reader, enjoyed gardening, yard work and being outside. He liked hunting and fishing, trips home to the UP, playing cards and playing jokes on his friends. He enjoyed his family and grandkids, and once taught his 4 yr old grandson how to play poker. Mike is survived by his wife, Marie, of Port Washington, 2 daughters: Cindy (Brian) Draper of Cedarburg and Lori (Curt) Wiskirchen of Liberty, MO and 2 grandsons: Michael and Elliott Wiskirchen. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 28, 2004, 7PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave, Port Washington. Fr. Allan Sommer will officiate. Entombment will take place the following day. The family will receive visitors Thursday evening at the Funeral Home from 4-7PM. Memorials are suggested.
