Mrs. Elvira Cheek, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on June 26, 2003 at the age of 82 years. Elvira was born on March 11, 1921 in Milwaukee, daughter of Julius and Dorothy Geiger Pellegrini. On March 22, 1942 she married James Anthony Cheek in Monterey, CA. She spent time working at Wells Fargo and Boston Store. Mrs. Cheek was a member of the Kettle Moraine Golden Lansers, the Latinaires Dance Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a former member of the All Saints Lutheran ELCA. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, walking, dancing, gardening, painting with watercolors. Mrs. Cheek is survived by her children Barbara (Dan) Johnson of Delafield and Jim Cheek of Waukesha, grandchildren Tony Cheek Julie Johnson, both of Milwaukee, and Michael (Laura) Johnson of Washington DC. She is further survived by 2 sisters, Gloria Pettersen and Anita Wallrath, both of Milwaukee. She is preceded in death by her husband and 1 sister, Shirley Rudolph.
