MARK PRESTON PAYNE Mark P. Payne of 119 Tower Drive, Port Washington, died Sunday May 18, 2003 at his residence after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born December 25, 1956 in Waukegan, IL, son of the late Ferris and Janet Holterman Payne. He graduated fro Carlisle, PA High School in 1975, and then moved on to UW-Milwaukee, where he earned a BA in English. On August 18, 1988 Mark married Jeanette Kwaterski in Milwaukee. He was employed as a fitter technician at WE Energies for 25 years. Mark was a loyal Cubs fan, coached Port Washington boys baseball and was the long-time shortstop for the Milwaukee Pikers softball team. Mark also was a PEZ enthusiast, an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. His wit tolerance and compassion will be missed by everyone whose lives he touched. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Jeanette, and his two sons Travis and Wesley.
