Tanis Koert & married the former Saburna Naughtin on August 18, 1973 in Grand Haven, MI. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp in WWll. Mr. Koert had been a self employed carpenter, was a member of the VFW Post #2326 & the American Legion Post #28 both of Grand Haven, MI. Mr. Koert enjoyed woodworking, travel & sightseeing. Survivors: Wife, Saburna; 4 sons, James Laurie Koert & Edward Tammie Koert, both of Spring Lake, MI, Thomas Brenda Koert of Stouville, Ontario Canada & Robert Koert of Columbus, OH; daughter, Donna Walter Brooks of Soledad Canyon, CA; stepchildren, Claudia David Kingery, Robert Schoenae & Mark Pat Schoenae; 13 grandchildren, Sandy Scott Hanson, Richard, Lindsey, Justin, Taylor, Jason, Lisa Luke McClain, Daniel, Michael, Heather, Susan, Sarah; 2 great grandchildren, Joshua & Jacob; brother, Adrian Koert of Dustin, FL; several nieces & nephews; the children's mother, Jeannette Koert of Spring Lake, MI.
