Mr. John Skowbo, of 6th Ave. in Grafton, passed away at Cedar Gardens in Cedarburg Sunday afternoon, May 27, 2007. He was 90 years old. John was born on April19, 1917 in Emmetsburg, IA, son of Arthur and Nancy Reiken Skowbo. After attending the University of Iowa, he enlisted in the US Navy, serving during World War II. He was united in marriage with Mabel Luedtke at Marble Head, MA on November 16, 1941. She preceded him in death on October 14, 1998. Working as a Tool Engineer with Kiekefer Mfg. in Grafton, John retired in 1982. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years and was a person of religious faith. Survivors include his son Philip (Susan) Skowbo of Port Washington, granddaughters Betsy (Michael) Ketter of Brookfield and Joan (Thomas) Treba of Wausau, one sister-in-law, Alice Luedtke of Iowa nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
