EARL R. EERNISSE Earl Eernisse, age 86 years of Grafton, formerly of Port Washington and Cedarburg died Saturday, June 2, 2007 at his residence. He was born May 21, 1921 in Grafton, son of Oscar and Viola Staewen Eernisse. He graduated from Grafton High School in 1940 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II. While in the service, he met and married Georgia Fluharty. They were married Oct. 5, 1944 at Ft. Worth Air Base chapel in Ft. Worth, TX. He retired as a machinist from International Harvester Co. in Milwaukee where he worked for 33 years. He also worked as a mechanic for Eidenberger Texaco in Cedarburg for many years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedarburg, Rose-Harms American Legion Post 355 in Grafton and the China Burma India Veterans Association. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed woodworking and spending time at his cabin in Carter. and Kristin, 18 great-grandchildren, one sister Ruth (the late Clarence) Fiedler of Wild Rose, and three brothers Robert (Marvelle) Eernisse of Grafton, Donald (Jean) Eernisse of Cedarburg and James (Carol) Eernisse of Wabeno, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Friday, June 8, 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, N60 W6047 Columbia Rd., Cedarburg with Rev. Charles Turbin officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Immanuel Cemetery, Cedarburg. Visitation at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington Thursday from 4-8 PM and at the Church Friday from 10-11 AM. Rose- Harms American Legion Post 355 service Thursday at 6:30 PM. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church or Rose-Harms American Legion Scholarship Fund appreciated.
