Robert Bloemer

Mr. Robert C. Bloemer, age 70 years of Saukville, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg. Bob was born in De Pere, WI on January 28, 1936, son of the late Neil and Violet Snortum Bloemer. On September 22, 1956, he married Janice Randall at St. Mary's Catholic Church in De Pere. After serving his country in the US Navy, Bob became a driver for Greyhound, retiring after 27 years with the company. Mr. Bloemer then started his second career as a "Turf Care Specialist" at The Squires Country Club. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville, and the Landt-Thiel American Legion Post in Saukville. Bob enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, and fishing, and was also a huge sports fan, with his favorite teams being the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago Cubs. He is survived by his wife Janice of Saukville, 6 children; Bruce (Bonnie) Bloemer of Port Washington, Steve (Carol) Bloemer of Appleton, Julie (David) Monroe of Saukville, Kathy (Mike) Panarusky of Grafton, Dr. Byron (Dr. Jane Harris) Bloemer of Cedarburg, and Paul (Joy) Bloemer of Grafton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18th at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church 145 W. Church St. in Saukville with Father Karl Acker officiating. Burial will take place with full military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saukville. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Bob's name will be established.
