Clara Wellenstein

Clara T. Wellenstein Mrs. Clara Wellenstein, age 82 years of Port Washington, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon, surrounded by her loving family. Clara was born in Sheboygan County August 21, 1924, daughter of Alvin Huebschmann and Olive Stemper Huebschmann. On December 27, 1941 she married Elmer Wellenstein at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Dacada. Elmer preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Wellenstein worked in the housekeeping department at St. Alphonsus Hospital in Port Washington, retiring in 1989. Clara was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, and playing bingo and the lottery. Clara is survived by four children; Patricia (Rich) Krug of Port Washington, Mike (Vicky) Wellenstein of Port Washington, Dan (Joan) Wellenstein of Port Washington, and Peter (Barb) Wellenstein of Random Lake and daughter-in-law Gayle Wellenstein of Port Washington. ceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter Mary Ann Sandy, 2 sons Robert and William, 1 great-grandson, 2 brothers LeRoy and Arnold Huebschmann and 1 sister Josephine Wittmann. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 11 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington, with Father Allen Sommer officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday the 13th from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to St. Luke's Medical Center Transplant Program or Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Heart Program.
