Cynthia "Cindy" L. Holt, 66, of Clinton, Iowa passed away, after a valiant fight with cancer, at the University of Iowa Hospitals on Thursday, October, 3, 2019. A Celebration of her Life will take place from 11 am to 2 pm on Sunday, October 6, at Lemke Funeral Homes - South Chapel (2610 Manufacturing Dr.). Following her Life's Celebration, cremation rites will be accorded with burial at a later date. Lemke Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements. Cindy was born October 11, 1952 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Ramona (Quick) Jacobsen. Cindy was united in marriage to Nicholas "Nick" Holt on October 7, 1995 in Clinton. Cindy worked at International Paper until it closed, she then became a CNA, working at Mercy Medical Center - North Campus until her retirement in 1997. Cindy enjoyed collecting dolls and crystal. She also enjoyed going to Estate sales. She loved babysitting her grandbabies and nieces and nephews - she loved taking care of her family. Early in life she enjoyed playing bingo and playing games of chance. Cindy loved her fur baby's - Trouble, her cat, and Sophie, her dog. survived by her husband Nick of Clinton, daughters - Tammy (Shae Drobushevich) Proulx of Bettendorf, IA, Carey (Ben) Arndt of DeWitt, IA, Angie Holt of Clinton, IA; Sons - Steve (Cindy) Schmidt of MS, Paul (Becky) Schmidt of Clinton, siblings - Danny (Lori) Jones, Dennis Andrews, Shelly (Randy) Brewer and Deb Andrews all of Clinton and Joe (Danna) Andrews of LeClaire, IA; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding Cindy in death was her mother and brothers - Richard Jones, Larry Jones, John Jacobsen and Ronald Jacobsen. Memorials made can be directed to the family.
