JOHN L. EDBAUER   Mr. John Edbauer, currently residing at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg, formerly of Milwaukee Street in Fredonia, passed away unexpectedly at Columbia- St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon early Friday morning, August 1, 2008.  He was 75 years old.  John was born in Wauwatosa on February 20, 1933, son of Ervin and Hilda Peterson Edbauer.  After his schooling, John served his country in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He was united in marriage with Sally Sisel on September 13, 1958 in Green Bay.  The couple settled in Milwaukee and later moved to the Fredonia area.  Sally preceded him in death in 2000.  John had attended the Milwaukee Police Academy and was employed as a police officer in Fredonia from 1964-1968.  Later, John worked at Modern Equipment in Port Washington, retiring in 1995.  Mr. Edbauer was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church,  IAM  Local 1430, VFW Post 7037, American Legion Post 410 and the Fredonia Fire Department.  John was very active in the Fredonia community. s very active in sports, and in his later years he enjoyed watching professional sports.  He was an avid Packers fan.  Mr. Edbauer is survived by his three children: Terry Taylor of Monmouth, IL, Lori (Howard) Mulloy of Grafton and Mark Edbauer of Fredonia, seven grandchildren and his sister JoAnn (Hobart) Hinz, also of Merrill.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Sally and his parents. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 4th , 7PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington ( Hwy 33 & LL).   Interment with full military honors will take place on Tuesday at Merrill Memorial Park in Merrill, WI.  The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Monday from 4-7PM.  Memorials in John’s name are suggested to Lasata Care Center.

 A funeral service is planned for 7PM on Monday, August 4th at the Eernisse Funeral Home in Port Washington.


Cemetery:

Full military honors will take place before the committal on Tuesday at Merrill Memorial Park in Merrill,  WI
