Jerome "Bud" Schowalter

JEROME “Bud” SCHOWALTER Jerome ‘Bud” Schowalter, age 87 years of Tampa, FL, formerly of Port Washington died Wednesday, August 13, 2008 in Tampa.  He was born September 28, 1920 in Port Washington, son of Joseph and Dorothy Feltes Schowalter. On May 17, 1941 he married Mary Barclay at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington and served in the U.S. Navy during WW II . Bud was in partnership with his sister Sylvia Adam and his brother Allan Schowalter  in the J.J. Schowalter Co., Port Washington, a carnival supply company started by his father in 1930.  He was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Port Washington Yacht Club and Van Ells-Schanen American Legion in Port Washington.  He is survived by his wife Mary of Tampa and his children Barbara (Kip) Lange of Oconomowoc and Florida, Dorothy (Carl) Sjoberg of Long Beach, CA, Mariann (Tom) Ritzer of Hartland, David (Mary Ann) Schowalter of Appleton, Betty (Steve) Beckmann of Grafton, Jerry (Sandy) Schowalter of Grafton, Nancy Schowalter Bergman (Bob) of Blanchardville, WI, Paul Schowalter of Baraboo, WI, Carl (Kathy) Schowalter of Port...[more]

Port Washington and Amy Schowalter of Florida, 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren,  his brother Allan (Betty) Schowalter of Port Washington, three sisters Dolly Barclay and Rita Decker of Port Washington and Lenore (Emery) Medinger of Sun City West, AZ, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his son William and his grandson Steven Ritzer. Funeral Tuesday, August 19,     7 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Port Washington.  Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.  In state at the Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington Tuesday from 4-6:30 PM.

Coming from the Eernisse Funeral Home at 6:30, funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 19, 7:00 PM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington.

Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Port Washington.
