Dorothy Thelen Mrs. Dorothy Thelen, of Green Bay, formerly of Port Washington, passed away in the evening hours of Monday, August 17, 2009 at Woodside Lutheran Home in Ashwabenon where she had been a resident.  Mrs. Thelen was 93 years old.  She was born in Kenosha on November 8, 1915, daughter of John Kosteretz and Cecelia Emig Kosteretz.  On October 23, 1937 she married Linus “Lynn” Thelen at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Milwaukee.  The couple made their home on E. Norport Drive in the Town of Port Washington until Lynn’s death in 1997.  Dorothy is a former member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.  She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting.  Dorothy is survived by her daughter Marilyn (the late Thomas) Schwenker of Green Bay and her son Brian (special friend Barbara Anderson) of Genesee Depot.  She is further survived by her grandchildren Chad (Kristin) Schwenker , Robb and Marni Schwenker, and Kent and Jeffrey Thelen, great-grandchildren Page, Kate and Emma, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lynn, son-in-...[more]

Thomas Schwenker, and siblings Harold, Bennie and John Losteretz, and Marge Pieper and Ceil Mueller.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24th at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery chapel in Port Washington with Mary McHugh, Pastoral Associate at St. Peter of Alcantara Church.    Mrs. Thelen will be entombed next to her husband at St. Mary’s Mausoleum.  Visitation will be at the cemetery chapel Monday the 24th from 9:30 AM until the time of services.  The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
