Jerome Barth

Jerome F. Barth “Jerry”  Jerome Frederick Barth, 68, of Belgium passed away at his home on Monday November 16, 2009 after a hard fought battle with cancer.  He was born in Milwaukee on November 8, 1941, the son of Frederick and Adele (nee Kraak) Barth.  Jerome married Suzanne Elna Schulze in Milwaukee on August 19, 1960.   A long time resident of Port Washington, Jerome worked as a steamfitter/high pressure welder for Wisconsin Electric Power Company for 40 years, in Port Washington.  Jerome retired 5 years ago in November of 2004.   Always willing to help, Jerome was a jack of all trades and had a solution for every problem.  He enjoyed spending time with family and had a passion for history, reading, and learning new things.  Jerome was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers and several fraternal organizations, including the Ozaukee Lodge # 17 Free & Accepted Masons and Scottish Rite bodies, as well as participating in the Long Riders group.  Jerome was also a member of the Milwaukee Elks Club # 46 and Saukville Gun Club.   Jerome is survived by his loving wife Suzanne...[more]

Belgium; and daughters Ava “Wendy” (Nicholas, PHD) Cozzi of Slinger, Penny (Paul) Krier of Belgium and Julie (Mark) Jalkanen of Dodgeville, Michigan. He is further survived by 4 Grandchildren; Adam, Katie, Max, and Mika, his brother Robert of San Francisco, CA, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 20th, at 4 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 171 N. Royal Ave., in Belgium.  A time of gathering will take place at the Funeral Home on Friday from 2 PM until the time of services.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society are suggested.
