Edward Burkhead Fairview - Edward "Mr. Ed" Burkhead, 82, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his residence. He was born on April 11, 1937 in Perryville, KY, to Steve and Myrtle (Yaste) Burkhead. Ed married Donna Mooney on June 9, 1957 in Fairview. She survives along with three children; Rick (Julie) Burkhead of Cuba, Brad (Debbie) Burkhead of Rossville, GA, and Jeni Burkhead of Ellisville, three brothers; Johnnie (Ruth) Burkhead, Cecil Burkhead, and Raymond (Joan) Burkhead, sister Ruby May Neff, six grandchildren; Amanda (Trenton) Mahr, Darrick (Hannah) Burkhead, Guy (Keyla) Burkhead, Jesse (Alyssa) Burkhead, Shayla Burkhead, and Raya Burkhead, and four great-grandchildren. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; R.H. Burkhead, Bobby Burkhead, and infant S.B. Burkhead, and five sisters; JoAnn Frew, Helen Burkhead, Nellie Perkins, Gladys Strevils, and Geneva Billings. Ed retired from Gates Rubber Company, he was also a self-employed farmer in Fulton County throughout his life and a self-employed Carpenter and Mechanic. Services will be 11 am , November 14, 2019 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 5-7 pm. Burial will follow in Coal Creek Cemetery in Rural Fairview. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Faith Bible Camp.
