Arline C. Thill

  Arline C. Thill Arline Thill, age 86 of St. Rose Avenue in Fredonia, passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon.  She was born Fredonia on July 7, 1923, daughter of Harold and Amanda Genz Janke.  On July 27, 1946 she married Thomas Thill of Holy Cross at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia.  Although she had several jobs over the years including working in a factory that made pants for the soldiers during WWII, Arline most enjoyed working in her yard and with her flowers.  She also enjoyed making quilts and sewing, making most of the doll clothes for her daughter’s dolls in her younger years.  She was happiest when she could be helping others.  Arline was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia where she taught Sunday School and was the Sunday School Treasurer for over 25 years. In accordance with Arline’s wishes cremation has taken place.  A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Thursday, May 20th at 6:30 PM at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fredonia.  A time of gathering will take place at the church on Thursday from 4:30-6:30 PM.  Arline will be laid to rest next to her husband Tommy in St. John’s Cemetery in Fredonia.  The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
