Edward R. III

Edward R. Bannister III Mr. Edward Bannister, age 61 years of the Town of Saukville, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 19, 2010 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon.  Ed was born in Charleston, SC on December 26, 1948, son of Edward R. Bannister Jr. and Jean Miller Bannister.  On November 17, 1989, he married Pamela Greene in Port Washington.  He served in the US Naval  Reserve, retiring after 20 years in 1993 as a Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Bannister worked as a Chief Boiler Mechanic for the Pabst Brewery for over 20 years until it’s closing.  He currently worked as a Stationary Engineer for St. Francis Hospital in Milwaukee. Ed was a member of Ozaukee Lodge #17 F & AM and the Order of the Eastern Star.  He enjoyed motorcycles, woodworking, photography and was an avid reader.  Edward is survived by his wife Pam of the Town of Saukville, 2 sons David (Ania) Bannister of Saukville and Ryan (Allison) Bannister of Harrisburg, PA,  daughter Rebecca (fiance Antone Cataldo) Bannister, his mother Jean Fraylick of Eutawville, SC, and 6 grandchildren; Jordan, Kira, Jaxson, Kerrick, Ava and Lillia.  He is further surv...[more]

Scott (Eleanor) Barr of La Crosse and Jessie Barr of Milwaukee, 2 brothers Robert Bannister of Aiken, SC, and Jeff (Peggy) Bannister of Greenville, SC, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father Edward R. Bannister Jr. and his stepfather Norbert Fraylick.  A memorial service celebrating Ed’s life will be held on Friday, August 27th at 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington.   The service will be conducted by Ozaukee Lodge #17 F & AM.  A visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on the 27th from 6 PM until the time of services.  The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com.
