JOAN E. JANKE   Mrs. Joan Janke, of Geyser Street in West Yellowstone, MT, formerly of Fredonia, WI, passed away at her residence early Friday morning, October 29, 2010.  She was 76 years old.  Joan was born in Saukville, WI on March 29, 1934, daughter of Henry and Lucille Glaeser Tesker.  After her schooling, she was united in marriage with James Horn.  Later, she remarried to Edward Janke.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  For many years Joan helped her mother run the family bar and restaurant located on the corner of Hwy 57 in Fredonia.  Teskers 111 Club was a popular establishment.  She eventually took over the business and ran it on her own for a number of years.  In 2000 she moved to Montana to be closer to her children.  Joan had always loved the people and customers she dealt with at Teskers, and had many fond memories of them. While in her home in Fredonia, Mrs. Janke had always enjoyed keeping her yard neat and trim.  She and Eddy likesd traveling, and had gone to many different areas in the country.  Joan also enjoyed shopping and an occasional trip to the horse races. , James T. (Sandy) Horn of Butte, MT and Jacqueline (Dennis) LaFever of West Yellowstone, MT.  She is further survived by her sister Rosemarie (the late Paul T.) Schmit of Avon, OH, her dear friends Emily Lierman of Florida, Rosie Leider of Fredonia and Cindy Zettler, also of Fredonia, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joan also leaves behind her “best friend” and favorite canine companion, Angel.   She is preceded in death by her son Jeffery Horn, her husband Ed,  her dear friend James “Tiny” Betz, and her former husband James Horn. Funeral services will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, November 4th at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington.  Father Frederick Schmit will officiate. She will be laid to rest beside her family the following day in Waubeka Union Cemetery.  The family will receive visitors at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7PM.   The family suggests any memorials be made to local hospice organizations.  Online condolences can be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com .
