Leta Novak

Leta Farr Hinds Novak, age 75, of Macomb, IL and formerly of Quincy, died Sunday, November 24, 2019, at 1:20 am in her home. Leta was born February 24, 1944 in Alton, Illinois, a daughter of Ismael and Velma Hinds Hobson. She married Dennis Novak. He preceded her in death. Leta tended bar at Cannon's for over 30 years. She had also been a bar tender at Tangerine Bowl. Leta's family was the most important thing in the world to her, and she will always be remembered as a fun-loving and caring mother and grandmother. Survivors include: three children: Larry (Susan) Hobson of Norfolk, VA; Stephanie (Mark) Nelson of Loraine, IL; and Lisa Scott of Macomb, IL; five grandchildren: Misti (Kent) Wiseman, Jessica and Jeremy Nelson, Devin (Caroline) Hobson, and Mercedes Hobson; ten great grandchildren; her brother, John Belt of Hannibal, MO; and several nephews. In addition to her husband, Leta was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sandra Brown Services: a memorial service will be held at a later date.
