Jay Schoenfeld Jay Schoenfeld, age 78 years of Grafton, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital in Mequon.  Jay was born in Plymouth on January 10, 1932, son of Allen and Meta Krueger Schoenfeld.  Mr. Schoenfeld attended Sheboygan Falls High School, graduating in 1951.   On June 25, 1954 he married Carol Wendt at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Random Lake.  Jay worked as a machinist for Mercury Marine, retiring in 1991 after more than 35 years.  He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton.  Jay’s hobbies included fishing, golf, watching college football, the Cubs, the Cardinals and his dog, Sammy.   He is survived by his 4 children; Cheryl (Nicholas) Dondlinger of Grafton, Lori (David) Volkert of Cedarburg,  Kevin Schoenfeld of Grafton and Kelly (Brenda) Schoenfeld of Cottage Grove.  He is further survived by 5 grandchildren; Michelle Dondlinger, Katie (Chad) Anderson, Adam Volkert and Evan and Jenna Schoenfeld , one brother Lyle (Deloris) Schoenfeld of Sheboygan, one sister Clarice Rose of New Holstein, nieces, nephews, other relatives ...[more]

many friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Carol and one brother Milford Bruse.  Memorial services will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at 7 PM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave. in Cedarburg with Pastor Chris Navurskis officiating.  He will be laid to rest at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Random Lake.  A Visitation will be held on Friday December 17th from 6-7 PM.   In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
