Norma R. Strauss

Norma R. Strauss  You have searched me, LORD, and you know me...You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Ps. 139:1&5 Norma Strauss, of Saukville, formerly of Grafton, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Kathy House Hospice in West Bend surrounded by her loving family.  She was 85 years old.  Norma was born on Pleasant Ridge in Clayton County, Iowa, on January 10, 1926, daughter of John Tuecke and Anna Mahowald Tuecke.  On January 31, 1948 she was united in marriage to Norbert F. Strauss at Grace Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.  The couple moved to the Grafton area, where Norma raised her family with a devotion and love that mirrored Jesus.  She was a member of Open Door Bible Church in Port Washington.  Norma loved to spend time with her “five grand-girls,” and great-grandchildren, and also enjoyed camping, sewing, traveling, writing, and was an excellent cook.  Norma is survived by her husband Norbert of Saukville, her three children; Ruth Ann (Scott) Phaneuf of West Bend, Stephen (Linda) Strauss of Port Washington and Tom (Alicia) Strauss of Waukesha.&...[more]

p; She is further survived by five grandchildren; Anne (John) Contant, Melissa Phaneuf, Sarah (Bryce) Turi, Elizabeth (Rory) Buchanen and Naomi Strauss, eight great-grandchildren; Tristan, Ella, Aidan, Johannah, Scarlett, Jebediah, Delaney and Miles, her sister Anna Mae Anderson of Milwaukee, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Orville and Carl Tuecke.Funeral services for Norma will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 6 PM at Open Door Bible Church, 3420 County Road LL, Port Washington, with Pastor Jim Engelman officiating.  A time of gathering will take place at the CHURCH on Friday, February 11th from 5-6 PM.  The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington, is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
