Duane A. “Dewey” NevermanDuane “Dewey” Neverman, of Port Washington, formerly of Glendale, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Harbor Cove surrounded by his loving family.  Dewey was born in Milwaukee on March 24, 1928, son of Arthur and Edith Berth Neverman.  Duane served his country in the Army from 1950-1952, being honorably discharged as a sergeant.  On April 11, 1959 he married Darlene Eberhardt in Milwaukee.  Dewey started as a lineman and worked his way up to sales manager at Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co.  He was employed there for close to 40 years.  He was a member of Fox Point Lutheran Church in Whitefish Bay where he was a former member of the church council.  He enjoyed working in his yard, golfing, fishing, traveling, hunting and playing cards.  He is survived by his three children: Darcy (Randy) Cashatt of Lewis, IA, Dawn (Andy) Weiss of Port Washington and Derrick (Michelle) Neverman of Beaver Dam.  He is further survived by three grandchildren: Jacob (Kat) Bersch, Cirisa Canillo Neverman and Sarah Decker, two great-grandchildren, his sister Arle...[more]

Kelly of Wheaton, IL, a niece, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Darlene and his sister Lila Dixon.  Funeral service Tuesday, March 22nd 10 AM at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave. Port Washington, with Rev. Daniel Thurmer of Fox Point Lutheran Church Officiating.  He will be laid to rest with military honors next to his wife at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.  Visitation will take place at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 21st from 4-7 PM and on Tuesday March 22nd from 9-10 AM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Heart Association.  The Eernisse Funeral Home, Port Washington is assisting the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com
