Frances "Fran" (Birkinbine) Oehrlein
SUN PRAIRIE Frances "Fran" (Birkinbine) Oehrlein passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the age of 87. Fran was born in New Rockford, ND on April 13, 1924 the daughter of the late Robert C. and Neva (Maynard) Birkinbine. She was a graduate of Sun Prairie High School, Class of 1942, and also a graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. On December 15, 1945 she was united in marriage to Albert Oehrlein in Sun Prairie. She was a lifetime resident of Sun Prairie. Fran was a lifetime member of the VFW 9362, the Nightingale Nurses Association, Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Catholic Church, and Past President of the VFW Auxillary. She was a superb seamstress and bridge player. She loved lake living and baking and was known for her pies.
