John Henry Althausen

John Henry Althausen, age 74 of Trenton, Ohio passed away peacefully with his family at his side, Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 3, 1936 in Queens, New York. He was the son of John and Anna Althausen. He retired from Champion International Paper as an Electrical Engineer after many years of service. John was an avid outdoorsman, who loved nature, travel, photography, and reading. He is preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (Rhude); two daughters, Barbi Ilcin (Brian) and Kathi Saurer (Mark). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Patrick, Matt, Adam, Anna, Ellen, Katelyn, and Brad. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the family's discretion.
