Donna Wojtysiak

Donna Kay Wojtysiak, 62, of Polk City, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. No services are planned and per her wishes she will be cremated. Donna was born in Gary, Indiana on July 22, 1957 to Stan and Hattie (Zakrzewski) Wojtysiak. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona where she graduated from Maryvale High School in 1975. She then began working as a DJ and ended up working at American Express. Donna moved to Santa Monica, California where she became a video game creator. She met her partner Debbie in Phoenix, Arizona and the two enjoyed over 35 years together. After retirement in 2014 Donna and Debbie moved to Iowa to be by their grandchildren. Donna loved to spend time with her family, most especially being "Nonny" to her grandchildren. She also enjoyed being an artist, baking, watching sports, cheering for the Cubs, was an avid animal lover, and playing with her cats.
