Steven was born on May 15, 1954, in Muscatine, the son of Carl F. and Betty J. Foster Theobald. He married Mary Nyweide in 1976.
He worked at HON and Carver pump as a Machinist and at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring in 2012.
Steven was a drummer in many local bands since he was 13 years old. He loved nature and enjoyed boating and camping on the river. Steven was an avid Hawkeye fan and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.
