Penny D Atkinson

Brigham City - Our loving mother, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt and friend, Penny Dahle Atkinson, passed away December 20, 2019 surrounded by family. Penny was born on June 29, 1949 in American Falls, Idaho to Jack Wilford Dahle and Dorothy Taggart. She had eight siblings; Carolyn, Doris, Betty, Gina, Jacquelyn, Neil, Dean and Max. Penny married her sweetheart, Arthur Henry Atkinson, on August 15, 1969 in Idaho Falls Temple; they were sealed on the same day. She really enjoyed spending time with her family, as well as crafting and sewing. Penny was passionate about service, most days she could be found at Brigham City Temple doing the Lord's work. Penny was preceded in death by her husband, Art, her daughter, Jenny, three siblings, Jacquelyn, Max and Neil, and her parents, Jack and Dorothy. She is survived by six children; Chad (Trisha) Atkinson of Brigham City, Sheree (Beau) Thomas of Temple, TX., Eric (Tysha) Atkinson of Logan, Greg (Adrienne) Atkinson of Willard, Lori (Scott) Maltby of Tremonton, Richard (Kellie) Atkinson of Brigham City; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Viewings will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Gillies Funeral Chapel, 634 East 200 South, Brigham City from 6-8 pm and Monday at the church prior to the service from 10-10:40 am.
