Funeral Services for Mr. Charlie Lee Woodward, age 62, of Allons will be conducted 12 noon, Saturday, December 28, 2019 from the First Christian Church in Livingston. Bro. Steven Barlow and Buckie Parsons will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Livingston, then on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Mr. Charlie Lee Woodward passed from this Life on Christmas Day, at his residence. He was born in Macon County Tennessee to the late Jack & Margaret Sue Livingston Woodward. Charlie was a 1975 graduate of Livingston Academy, and an Elder of the Monroe Christian Church. Charlie started working for the City of Livingston for the Fire Department, then moving his way into the Water Department, where he became a level 4 water operator, retiring with 41 years of service to the City of Livingston. Charlie enjoyed motorcycles since he was a young boy. He still had his dad's 1967 Shovelhead Harley-Davidson, a 2006 Electro-glide, and in 2018 Tammie and he went to Maggie Valley and purchased 3 tickets for a 1936 Knucklehead EL Harley and wo...[more]

few months later. Charlie had many wonderful friends, his call sign was Cedar Knoll, and was a gentle soul to everyone. He was a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation NWTF and the Overton County Longbeards. Charlie also loved his wife Tammie and enjoyed taking her to many places across the country. Charlie leaves behind his wife, Tammie Parris Parsons Woodward of Allons, TN; daughter, Jodi Deck of Monroe, TN; son, Anthony Chad Hicks, Sr. of Monroe, TN; grandchildren, Anthony Chad Hicks, Jr., Bella Parsons, and Gemma Deck; father & mother-in-law, Marshall & Natalie Parris of Monroe, TN; aunt, Martha McCormick & husband Gerald of Goodlettsville, TN; several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial donations in memory of Charlie may be made to the Monroe Christian Church by contacting Speck Funeral Home.
