Ronald Dale Cary

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at the Runge Mortuary. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial bench in his honor.

Ronald was born the son of Dale M. and JoAnn L. (Clover) Cary on November 15, 1950 in Phoenix, AZ. He was united in marriage to Deborah Larson on July 5, 1975 in Fort Myers, FL. He retired from Kone (Montgomery Elevators) after 37 ½ years of service, later working as a groundskeeper at the Rock Island Arsenal golf course, retiring in 2018.

Ron was a selfless man who always put others first. He loved spending time with his children. He coached all of his children in sports and went to all of their events. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ron enjoyed golfing, traveling, playing and watching sports. His favorite holiday was Christmas and he loved Black Friday. He was also lovingly referred to as the "dog whisperer".
