Carol C. Helt

Dane - Carol C. Helt, age 72, died tragically in a farming accident outside of Lodi on Thurs. May 19, 2011. Carol Catherine (Rauls) Helt was born on Sept. 21, 1938 to Louis and Marie (Miller) Rauls. She married Gilbert Helt on April 17, 1957 and together they farmed in the Dane area, side by side, for 53 years. Carol loved life, a good laugh, traveling, card club, craft shows. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, the Red Hat Society and year-round Christmas shopping. Carol was a hard worker who lived and breathed farming. Survivors include her husband Gilbert; six children, Paul Helt, Ann (Steve) Vosen, Joan (Mark) Richter, Dale (Diane) Helt, Kay (Dan) Breunig, Lynn (Chuck) Meier; 14 grandchildren, Sarah (Matt) Shiner, Ryan, Erik and Brett Vosen, Christy Richter, Jason (Heather) Richter, Devin, Derek, and Dean Helt, Shelbey, Dustin, and Dakoda Breunig, and Rachel and Nicole Meier; also four great-grandchildren, Trent, Pierce, Aubrey and Tanner Conway, brothers and sisters Gilbert (Jean) Rauls, Stan (Judy) Rauls, Agnes (Roy) Schoepp and brother-in-law Marcus Marx. es will be held on Monday May 23, 2011 at 11:00a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 109 S. Military Rd, Dane, Rev Francisco Higuera will officiate. Friends may call at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home on Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
