Robert DeLeon

Robert Leslie de León, 61, passed away March 19, 2014. Born June 4, 1952 in Tulsa OK, the family moved to Houston in 1960. A graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and the University of North Texas, Bob worked for various ad agencies in Houston before starting his own firm, DeLeon Designs, in Sugar Land, TX. One of his greatest passions was flying sailplanes. As a member of the Greater Houston Soaring Association he loved participating in sailplane competitions, trailering his sailplane all around the country. He was also dedicated to his work with prison ministries for several years. He is preceded in death by his father Armando de León. He is survived by his mother Barbara Wire de León, sister Dorien de León, and brother Douglas de León. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 2pm in the chapel at First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway.
