Patricia Ann Saucier

Patricia Saucier, 69. After a hard-fought battle with cancer, Pat passed away on June 30, 2016. A devoted educator who spent 38 years at Houston Independent School District, Pat continually stressed the importance of education to her students, changing the lives of countless children. She took great pride in being honored by the mayor and HISD superintendent for bringing high school drop-outs back to school. Her love of music took her to every major concert in Houston for the past 40 years. Pat made every encounter with others a personal event, whether traveling, eating at a restaurant or interacting at the grocery, pharmacy, or hospital - she never met a stranger. A memorial service honoring Pat will be held on Saturday, July 9 at 2:00 pm at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 5200 Fannin Street, Houston, Texas 77004. Pat was a strong proponent of women's and children's issues; therefore, in lieu of flowers, a donation in Patricia Saucier's memory may be made to Houston Area Women's Center or Elijah Rising.[more]
