Ibri S. Funk Ibri S. Funk of 'Fort Washington died Oct. 23, 2003, at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 87.
Born in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ibri S. and Frances (0' Hanlon) Funk. He was a graduate of Germantown High' School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, having served in the Battle of the Bulge and the invasion of Normandy, France.
Before his retirement, he was employed as a quality control engineer by Fisher & Porter in Warminster for 15 years, and Teleflex in North Wales for 15 years.
He was a member of St. Alphonsus Church in Maple Glen.
His favorite pastimes were reading, travel, working with his hands, gardening and politics.
He is survived by a daughter, Kathy Sarelakos of Fort Washington, a grandson, Nicholas Sarelakos of Fort Washington, two nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene (Cosgrove) Funk and a sister, Marcella Aarons.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at St. Alphonsus Church, Conwell Drive, Maple Glen. Friends may call at the church at 10 a.m. Internment will be in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Prospectville.
