until returning to Jackson to act as caregiver for her mother. She then taught school at Jackson before earning her MS degree in Elementary Eduaction at UN Lincoln in 1957. She resumed teaching in the Sioux City Community School District serving Bryant, North Junior, Hoover Junior and Hoover Middle Schools until her retirement in 1991. Honore had continued her post MS education at USD, Vermillion, South Dakota, Mankato State at Mankato, Minnesota, Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa, St. Norbert College in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska and Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Honore was a member of St. Patrick's Church at Jackson where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Choir member. She belonged to the Altar Society; Catholic Daughters of America Court 2055, Mary our Queen; the Red Hat Society; Siouxland Retired Educators; the Iowa State Education Association; the National Education Association and the Siouxland Senior Center. Honore is survived by her brother, John and his wife, Rosemarie Huse of North Sioux City, South Dakota; her sister-in-law, Mary Louise (Edgar) Husse of West Newton, Massachusetts; eight nieces and nephews, Thomas Allen (Deborah) Huse of Watertown, Massachusetts, William David Huse of Delmar, California; Joseph Albert (Cathy) Huse of Paris, France, Mary Kathryn Huse of Belmont, Massachusetts, Patricia Honore Huse (Chris) McVeigh of Burlington, Vermont, Susan Marie Huse (John) McDonogh of Sandwich, Massachusetts, Sandra Susan Huse of Glassell Park, California, John Joseph Huse II of Scottsdale, Arizona and many cousins, grand nieces, nephews, and a great-grandniece, Keagan. Honore was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Agnes Huse and her brother, Dr. Edgar F. Huse PhD. At Honore's request, casket bearers will be her Nephews, Tom Huse, Joseph Huse, John Huse II; Godson, George O'Gara; Past Students, Joe Gill, Bill Sullivan, Larry Albenesius; and Friends, Wayne Knudsen, Ron and Donny Hogh, Andy Lux, and Phil Kramper.
