Anna Lynn Casey was born January 9, 1975, in Algona, Iowa, the daughter of Dale and Teresa (Celander) Baas. She grew up in Algona where she attended school and graduated from Algona High School in 1993. Anna then went on to attend NIACC in Mason City before going to the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated in 1998. After her schooling she returned to Algona where she worked at Pharmacists Mutual Companies. On September 16, 2000, Anna was united in marriage to Brian Casey at St. Benedict Catholic Church. After their marriage they lived in Algona where she continued to work until 2006. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. She fought her cancer with determination and survived her battle with breast cancer. Anna loved being with her family, especially being able to be a stay at home mom and be with their boys. She also enjoyed babysitting, going to garage sales and helping animals at the Kossuth Animal Rescue. Anna was diagnosed with leukemia on January 1, 2011.
