Elizabeth Therese Hosea

Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan resident and former Jupiter, Florida resident Elizabeth (Bette) Hosea passed away peacefully on March 17, 2019 after living a full and wonderful life. She was born August 17, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan to Leo and Eva Rademacher. Mrs. Hosea was a graduate of Saint Anthony High School in Detroit and Detroit Commercial College. She was a very active and gregarious person who enjoyed people. She was a past member of the Country Club of Detroit, Otsego Ski Club, Jonathans Landing Golf Club of Jupiter, Florida and Lochmoor Golf Club of Grosse Pointe Woods. A member of Saint Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe, Mrs. Hosea was also active in many charities including Christ Child Society, Beaumont Assistant League, Carmelite Society, St. Johns Hospital Fontbonne Auxiliary and the St. Paul Alter Society. Mrs. Hosea is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas and son, Dr. Timothy Hosea, sister Alice Stock and brother-in-law Robert Totte. Step Great Grandchildren include Owen Michalowski, Sydney Michalowski, Tori Bartusiak and Nina Bartusiak. She is also survived by her sister Joan Totte, brother in law James Stock and many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Monday, March 25, 2019, at St. Paul on the Lake, Grosse Pointe Farms. Interment will be at the St Paul Columbarium at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Child Society, St. Johns Hospital Fontbonne Auxiliary or the Capuchin Soup Kitchen.
