Jean Gagalis

Gagalis, Jean 12/3/1927 - 1/30/2020 Ann Arbor On Thursday, January 30, 2020, Jean Gagalis passed away at the age of 92. She was a life long resident of Ann Arbor. She married Chris Gagalis in May of 1949. They raised four children and were married for 40 years. He preceded her in death along with her parents Conrad and Edith Lau. Jean was an exceptional mother, homemaker, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and manager of various family owned businesses. The family cherished spending summers at the family home on Zukey Lake. Jean loved fishing with her father every day! Jean was an exceptionally creative and accomplished knitter. She was also an avid Bridge player who enjoyed the game for over 65 years with many friends. She was especially proud of and truly enjoyed the 20 years of service she devoted to serving on both of her condominium boards. Jean was an avid sports fan who loved watching U of M football, Tiger baseball, basketball, figure skating and golf. Family was a source of great love, pride and joy to Jean. essmore, Sarah, Taylor and Milan Nezich; many nieces and nephews; and twin great-grandchildren Olivia and Owen who were the love of her life. She enjoyed her many friends, entertaining, Greek and all kinds of cooking, gardening, "staging" garage sales and "back seat driving"!
