David Randle Thurman

David Randle Thurman, known to his family and friends as "Randy," was born June 24, 1947 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Rev. TC & Mae Thurman. Being a son of a Southern Baptist minister, Randy was in Church whenever the doors were open. He gave his heart to Jesus at an early age and remained faithful throughout his life. Randy grew up in several States including Illinois, Kentucky and Tennessee. After graduating, Randy enlisted in the U.S Air Force. The Air Force brought him to Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin, Texas. There he met the love of his life Susan Pearson. They married on August 29, 1970. After leaving the Air Force, Randy worked in marketing and sales for various retail companies. They were blessed with two sons, David and Jeff. Throughout their nearly 50 years of marriage, Randy & Susan attended Church and encouraged their family in their faith. In his retirement years, one of Randy's greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren. On February 6 at home, surrounded by loving family, Randy went home to be with his Lord and Savior.
