Bryant, Byron Douglas, of Plainview, Tennessee, born March 7, 1949, passed away suddenly March 8, 2015, at age 66. He was an attorney with a private law practice in Halls Crossroads for 33 years and served as Plainview City Judge for many years. Byron was an active Civil War reenactor with Burroughs' Battery 1st Tennessee Light Artillery, a farmer, and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry J. and Betty L. Bryant. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Christa Gerkin Bryant; daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Erin Bryant of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Shannon and Zachary Carey of Knoxville, and Megan and Michael Brazill of Nolensville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Daniel Carey and Clara Brazill; sister Thea Few of Sandpoint, Idaho; many relatives and special friends who loved him very much. The Funeral will be held on Thursday, March 12 at 7 pm at Washington Presbyterian Church, 7405 Washington Pike, Corryton, with the Rev. Rick McIntee officiating.
