Dorothy S. Keathley

Dorothy S. Keathley, age 88, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 17, 2016. She was a selfless mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose strength, beauty and kindness cannot be measured. Dorothy would want us all to remember this time apart is only temporary and to praise God. The legacy she has left is indescribable. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Keathley; parents, Clyde and Fleda Smith; and six of her siblings. She is survived and will be deeply missed by her sons, Greg and Bobby Keathley; daughters, Deneas (Bill) Cochran, Paula Nicely; grandchildren, Jeremiah Smith, Jennifer Matikke, Chris Nicely, Savanna Nicely, and Laurel Tarwater; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Carty and Peggy Carmichael; sister-in-law Lillian Taylor; and other extended family and friends whose lives she touched. The family wishes to express much gratitude to her Corryton Farm family and special friend Connie Wilkins for the many acts of kindness they extended.
