James D. Childress

James D. Childress, age 66, passed away suddenly on October 18, 2016. Jim was the definition of hard work and dedication, never ending a task until he was fully satisfied. He found his greatest joy in life in his family, with whom he loved to travel. His goal in life was always to be a good provider, something he indisputably accomplished. Jim is survived and will be forever missed by his beloved wife Vickie and son Brandon; sisters, Betty McGee and Helen Hinkle; special niece, Brenda 'Susie' Senseny; special nephews James, Jarod, and Jake; son David Childress, and several other nieces and nephews; and his numerous beloved friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Rev. James A. and Della Mae Childress. The family will receive friends at Gentry Griffey Funeral Chapel on Sunday, October 23rd from 2-4 pm.  A Memorial Service will follow at 4pm, with Dennis Maxey officiating.
