Josephine (Jo) LeMaster passed away on February 11, 2020, at the Madrid Home at the age of 96. As per Jo's wishes, she has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Sanborn Chapel at the Madrid Home. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery, Northeast of Woodward, at a later date. She was born June 6, 1923, in Madrid, IA to James and Alma Young. She attended school in Madrid and graduated from Madrid High School with the class of 1941. After school, she married Ralph (Junior) LeMaster. They were the parents of two daughters, Maxine and Jane. Jo was a member of the Woodward United Methodist Church. She worked at R.H. Donnelly in Nevada, IA for several years before retiring. Jo enjoyed traveling to Ralph's army reunions and bus trips to Branson, MO, as well as other vacations. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family, Jane (Denny) Knuth of Peculiar, MO; granddaughters, Janet Beach of Ames and Linda (Bill) Brooks of Ankeny; great grandsons, Cory Brooks and Ryan Brooks of Ankeny; sister-in-law, Lois Nutt of Boone and many nieces and nephews.
