Kimberly Sherwood Mcnish

Kimberly Sherwood McNish, 47, passed away on February 10, 2017, at the Gilchrist Center in Towsen, Maryland, after a more than three-year battle with lung cancer. She fought until her final days for her life with the people she loved. She will be missed. Kimberly was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Florida and Tennessee. She graduated from Brown University in 2001 with a degree in English, and from Harvard Law School in 2004. After graduation, Kimberly joined Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C. as an attorney with their Insurance Litigation Group. Kimberly is survived by her husband, William McNish, her mother, Joanne Sherwood, her sister, Theresa Kelety, her brothers, Marc Sherwood and Allen Boucher, as well as her nieces and nephew, and family and friends. A funeral service will be held at Hansen Desert Hills, 6500 East Bell Road, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254 on February 18, 2017 at 11 a.m. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, and to the staff of the Gilchrist Center, for the care and comfort they provided.
