Donald Wayne Bonesteel, Jr. departed this life on April 25, 2017 at his residence in Phoenix, Arizona at age 58. Don was born December 8, 1958 in Troy, New York. At age four his family moved to Phoenix. Don graduated from Shadow Mountain High School in Phoenix, Arizona in 1975. After high school Don proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Don enjoyed life to the fullest... He loved the outdoors, cooking, camping, hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling. He was a racing enthusiast and love to share those activities with his family and friends. Don's generosity brightened the world around him. He had a quick wit that brought a smile to all who knew him. Throughout his life many people were attracted to Don; he will be remembered as a kind, gentle, honest man who was a loyal friend with a heart for giving. Don's greatest joy was his family, he adored his children and grandchildren. They were the light of his life. Don was a devoted son, a dedicated husband, a loving father, a thoughtful brother, a proud grandfather, and a caring uncle. He is also leaving behind numerous friends that will remember him fondly. Public visitation set to honor Donald Wayne Bonesteel, Jr. will be on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary (6500 E. Bell Rd.) in Scottsdale. All are welcome to celebrate his life, share their memories, and pay their respects.
