Dr. Kirby V. Anderson passed away Friday evening, July 14, 2017. Kirby was born in Effingham, IL, on October 1, 1934, and was a current resident of Desert Flower Assisted Living, Scottsdale, AZ.
Kirby was an extraordinary Gentleman with a salty sense of humor. He was a staunch patriot, having served in the United States Army for 10 years and commanded the 4th Battalion in Vietnam. During his medical career, he delivered more than 8,000 babies (a record), each one celebrated as a special gift from our Lord. He always said that each practicing day was like Christmas.
He is survived by his "Best Friend", his loving wife Linda. Also surviving, his step-son Rex C. Cobb, his children, Kathy Bendorf, Stephen Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Karen Hardy, Nathan Anderson, his brother Dean Anderson, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kirby was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and his eldest son and youngest daughter.
"Life is not a dress rehearsal, so live each day to its fullest". "Always be thoughtful and kind", and "Try to help someone every day", were the words Dr. Anderson preached and lived by--- they just don't make them like this anymore!
