Maxine Bryant Whitworth

Whitworth, Maxine Bryant "Max" "Tutu". Went to be with her Lord...July 15, 2017. Born in Harper, Kansas, February 2, 1922, to Merle and Eula Bryant, along with her twin sister, Merline. Maxine graduated from high school at Wichita East, Wichita, Kansas and attended Southwestern College in Winfield Kansas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Harry and her twin sister, Merline. She is survived by three children Rocky Whitworth (Mary), Rick Whitworth (Kristin), Rebecca Anders (John). Also, five grandchildren, Kayna Kleinschmidt (Rhett), Kellen (Sarah), Kyra, Kari Whitworth, and Bryant Armistead Anders, nephew, Mark MacFarlane of Colorado Springs, Co, brother in law, Alan Whitworth, sister in law Margie Graham (Gordon), of Canada, along with nephews and nieces. Maxine was a legal secretary and worked for School District #11 for 15 years. Maxine and Harry lived in Colorado Springs for 43 years and raised their three strong, beautiful and successful children there, attending their many sports activities. Arizona in 1990 and enjoyed 10 happy years there playing golf, tennis, bowling and luckily before Harry passed away in 2000. Maxine continued there enjoying 10 years dancing with Rhythm Tappers, playing in a ukulele band and her favorite sport tennis. She later moved to Scottsdale to be close to her daughter Rebecca where she made many new friends and she was so happy. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother and our lives are all richer because of her. Services to be announced later.
